Charles Ottinger

Charles “Chalky” Ottinger is a life-long Vineland resident.  He is a graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s College where he earned a BS degree in Sociology and Psychology and Rowan University where he earned his MA degree in Secondary School Administration.

Chalky served as principal of Vineland High School South for twelve years and recently completed a three tenure as Superintendent of the Vineland Public Schools.  A community activists, Ottinger is a member of the St. Mary’s Regional Elementary School Board of Education and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Cumberland County Guidance Center.  He is also active in many other charitable groups and organizations.  He looks forward with anticipation to the development of the Landis Theatre project with high hopes for it to become one of the centerpieces of culture and fine arts in the South Jersey Area.
